Major Modes used with 12 Bar Blues (November 2011)

When playing a typical 12 bar blues in the key of A, eg. Am D Em chords.

Use Dorian mode when playing the Am chord.
Start Mixolydian mode on D note when playing the D chord.
Start Aeolian mode on E note when playing the Em chord.
